Part of a working dairy farm. The main bedroom has 2 double beds and 2nd
room has 1 double bed and 1 single bed. Kitchen contains cooker (4 rings
& oven), microwave, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, television.
Cot and high chair on request.
Brown bread, milk, fresh salads and vegetables available. (Payable locally)
Fresh shellfish available to pick yourself, depending on tides. Lobster,
clams, mussels, oysters, razor fish and many other varieties are native
to this shore.
Take a 5 minute walk to the shoreline and private beach set on the beautiful
Finavarra peninsula. A 10 minute walk to the famous Martello Tower overlooking
the Flaggy Shore with views of the sea on three sides with Galway and
Ballyvaughan in the distance.
(A Martello Tower, one of the many watch-towers the British built along
the Irish coastline in the late 1700's and early 1800's to guard against
a possible Napoleonic invasion.
2 miles (3.2 km) from Linnanes Lobster Bar and Restaurant.
The village of Ballyvaughan is 8 miles (12.8 km) away and boasts the famous Ailwee Caves and Poulnabrone Dolmen. Ballyvaughan has a number of good hotels, pubs and restaurants with live traditional music.
